Comments: It has taken lot of years, but now I can see that most all of the Lancers were a wonderful group of guys. We all had difference personalities, educations and backgrounds, but in the main I am very proud to have served with the Lancers.
I ended up with two kids, girl now 30, boy now 29. August the girl gave us a grandson, our first grandchild.
I was well aware in 1963 that the push to Americanize the war was about money and power, not winning. I was 15, my dad was in the Arms industry. I thought Vietnam was a con job, but I still served. I got two things out of it, additional PTSD and met a lot of great guys! That is life. Jim Burton, was my first Peter Pilot, I still miss him terribly.
Admin reply: Thanks 38. ww

Comments: Please know that I visited George Barry’s grave today.
Last year I placed a U.S. Army grave marker, plant and U.S. flag on his site. I put a new flag and plant on George’s grave today.
George’s parents were friends of my parents. I just located his mother and father’s graves six rows away today.
I served for three years in the U.S. Army, 1922–1974.
Bless all of the Lancers and all veterans, especially those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, and their families.
