Lawrence V. Voigtsberger
Larry
passed away on Tuesday April 24, 2007. Larry was born in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania on August 6, 1949, the ninth child of David and Catherine.
He was raised in Philadelphia till age six, then moved to Cheyenne,
Wyoming till age 16, then moved to Everett, Washington in 1965. He graduated
from Cascade High School in 1967. He then went to work at the Boeing Company as
a mechanic.
In
April of 1969 he enlisted into the Army and was in the 101st Airborne Division
in Vietnam till the end of 1971. He was very proud of his time spent in the
military. Larry then returned to the Boeing Company working in the 747, 67 and
77 divisions as a mechanic leadman and supervisor for the next 36 years. He has
many close friends there.
Larry
had many interests in life like fishing, bowling, playing pool and getting
together with friends. He met his current wife of 22 years on a bowling league.
He was also an avid animal lover and had many dogs and birds throughout his
life. He leaves his two girl Pugs, Betsy and Bonnie who he loved dearly. Larry
also had a special sense of humor. He was quite the jokester, always had
something funny to say or a joke for you. He also had a pet name for all his
friends and everyone he met.
Larry
was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Judy and Joyce.
Larry
is survived by wife, Sandy; children, Carlye, Jessica and Joseph;
grandchildren, Paige, Malorey, Madison; brothers, Dave (Mary), Carl (Mianna);
sisters, Claire (Norm), Kathy (Ross), Chris (Phil); and many wonderful nephews
and nieces and a lot of great friends.
We
will all miss you and love you forever and hopefully we will meet again. Your
family.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at
Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA. Burial Place:
Laramie, Albany County, Wyoming
