     Tim D. Kuehnau, 69, of Marinette, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021. 

Born June 21, 1952, to the late Raymond and Maryette (Brix) Kuehnau in Marinette, he attended Marinette High School and then served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a helicopter crew chief. In 1971, he was awarded the Bronzed Star Medal with V Device for heroism as well as the 16th Air Medal due to meritorious achievement in aerial flight. 

After his honorable discharge, he worked at Menominee Paper until he relocated to Florida where he worked as an electronics tech. Upon retiring, he returned to Wisconsin. He enjoyed woodworking, taxidermy, and riding motorcycles. 

He is survived by a son, Jeremy Kuehnau; two daughters, Carrie Owens and Jennifer Kuehnau; two brothers, Bruce and Scott; four sisters, Nancy (Paul) Van Beek, Peggy (Dick) Menuier, Sandy Desjarlais and Sherry Rich. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary. 

Private family services will be held. Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
