David Roy Haglund

March 15, 1949 - March 8, 2020

David Haglund age 70, of Pevely, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at his home. He was born March 15, 1949 in Oelwain, Iowa, the son of the late Evangeline Violet (nee Toft) and Roy Nels Haglund.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Sharon L. (nee Hasamear) Haglund; and a brother in-law Clifford (the late Nancy) Hasamear.

He is survived by his daughter Krista (Steve Wilson) Haglund of DeSoto, Missouri; sister in-law Sandra (Jackson) Larsen of Affton, Missouri; nieces Robin Hasamear, and Yvonne Ziegel; and a nephew Todd Hasamear.

He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War; Purple Heart recipient; and a retired Maintenance Forman for Carondelet Foundry in St. Louis and Pevely.

He was a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart; Life member of the DAV; life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and American Legion #253.

Interment with full military honors in National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. Memorials in his memory are preferred to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.
