A/C was flying over DaNang Bay to the north when they spotted a destroyer, flew alongside port side of ship and made a cyclic climb to approx. 200', executed sharp left turn into a power dive parallel to starboard side of ship. A/C failed to recover from steep dive, impacted water, exploded and burned.
