Received a message from David Fuller asking for prayers for
Walt. Walt fell and broke his other hip. He will be having surgery tomorrow
morning around 8:45AM
Ted 06/15/14 #45125
Dennis, please let Walt’s son know that we are thinking of him
and wish him a speedy recovery. Is there anyway to contact Walt? Or at least
send a card?

Sending my wishes to our Lancer brother for a recovery from his
injury. It seems like he has been to
hell and back with his health.
Larry Sapp 06/15/14 #45132
Larry and Lucia Sapp send
our prayers for Walt. Damn old age.

Flight: Walt’s problems have nothing to do with old age and he
is probably 5 or 6 years younger than me . . . around 62 or 63. He and Nancy were my guests at the 2002 Las
Vegas VHPA reunion and both of them were getting around good, very lucid, and
fun to be with. For any who don’t know,
Walt was a grunt before coming to the Lancers and was on Ripcord and most of
his health problems stem from agent orange; I believe Doc Larue helped him
finally get the 100% benefits that he should have received from the day he was
first diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease! Hip surgery at his age has a high
rate of success and the main danger is infection; however, Walt’s faces much
higher risks because of his other health issues and a difficult rehabilitation
because he was not very mobile before the injury. Walt is a fighter with a very good Son who
will keep him motivated and I think he will recover and be with us for many
years to come. Please do send him cards and letters as that is a small thing
that will mean a lot to him. I have attached a couple of pictures. Lanny - 13
